Marcela Aldaz-Matos

Marcela Aldaz-Matos is a business executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in business strategy, talent management, diversity and inclusion. She has a proven track record of delivering substantial growth in highly competitive business organizations. Working collaboratively with C-suite leaders, her primary focus is on harnessing the business value of organizational development and talent management to yield high business impact. Marcela has extensive experience in financial services, healthcare and non-profit organizations, and has managed many U.S. and international teams.

As Co-Founder and CEO of Arka HR Solutions, she focuses on helping business leaders address strategic business and operational issues which provides them with greater scale and efficiencies and underlying focus on driving better business performance and outcomes. She anchors her work on implementing transformative human capital initiatives that directly impact core business strategies. Marcela’s expertise includes organizational design, value-based performance management, along with diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Previously, Marcela was the Inaugural Director of Diversity & Inclusion for MassGeneral Brigham, Massachusetts’ largest private employer, and an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Marcela has 10 years of experience serving in corporate and non-profit boards. Currently, she is ALPFA’s chairwoman, the country’s leading Latino professional association with over 100 thousand members and 180 chapters across the U.S. She leads the Board of Directors, and the Corporate Advisory Board composed of Fortune 500 corporate executives, among others. During her tenure, she has led the organization’s strategic transformation through strengthening governance, digital transformation, and fundraising efforts.

In addition, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker appointed her to serve on the State’s first Latino Advisory Commission, which has focused more than $20 millions in funds to support Latino and Black communities. Marcela is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network Advisory Board, Cambridge College Board of Trustees, The Partnership Board of Directors, and the Women’s International Forum Network. Marcela has been featured in Fortune magazine, the Boston Business Journal, and Hispanic Executive.

She earned an MBA from Simmons University School of Management in Boston.
